Fraud Mitigation Controls

Calls in Progress

Call information is available in real-time through our portal so you can link this to your fraud monitoring tools.

Rate limits

Customers can configure rate limits to non-UK destinations and to known hotspots, whilst allowing normal traffic to have a much higher rate.

Threat analysis

Our threat analysis page on our portal gives you insight into active attempted attacks – empowering you to prevent them.

API driven control

In the event of a compromised end user, the administrator can take action immediately – all fraud control measures, IP addresses and trunks can be configured in real-time via the API or portal.

Black / white lists

You can define an Access Control List of number patterns to disable or allow – enabling for example, the white-listing of a country code whilst blocking a specific number range within it.

Do Not Call List:

  • The IRS does not call and demand payment for unpaid taxes with iTunes or other prepaid cards. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS who instructs you to make such a payment, hang up immediately. More information concerning IRS scams is available at https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-repeats-warning-about-phone-scams.
  • Never pay to collect a prize relating to a sweepstakes or prize promotion. Requiring a payment in order to collect a prize is a violation of federal law.
  • Never give out sensitive personal or financial information over the phone unless it is to a known and trusted entity. Doctors’ offices, banks and other service providers will never call and ask for your account information.
  • If you receive a message containing a callback number, verify the number against a known source such as the back of your bank card before returning the call.
  • Generally, banks and financial institutions do not send text messages requesting sensitive information such as bank account numbers, password or social security numbers. If you receive such a text, do not respond and call you bank or financial institution.
  • When in doubt, do not answer a phone call from an unknown number.
